Religion in Telangana 

Telangana is the twelfth most populous state in India and has a diverse population comprising many religions and communities. According to the 2011 census, out of the total population of 3.52 crore, approximately 3 crore (85.10%) identified themselves as followers of the Hindu religion, 44.64 lakh (12.69%) as Muslims or followers of Islam, and 4.47 lakh (1.27%) as Christians. Additionally, 0.68% stated no religion, and 0.28% identified with other religions.
