Religion in Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal Pradesh is the third least populated state in India and has a diverse population with followers of many religions and communities. According to the 2011 census, out of a population of 13.84 lakhs, approximately 4.01 lakhs (29%) identified as Hindu, 4.18 lakhs (30.26%) as Christians, 3.62 lakhs (26.20%) as followers of tribal religions, and 1.62 lakhs (11.77%) as Buddhists. Additionally, 0.48% stated no religion, and 2.25% identified with other religions.
